Mister Bianco
2019 14.5/20A little Italian gem with its stylishly relaxed informality - and an interior that lets texture do all the work - Mister Bianco feels familiar, fresh, a modern take on an Italian diner with a salute to Chef Joseph Vargetto’s southern Italian heritage. From the globe-like pendulum lights to the ‘bianco’ tiles around the bar, the use of a single colour is offset by ultra cool, low profile dark leather banquettes, blond wood table tops and retro Italian photo murals to keep the look casual and youthful. The main space is at street level, but upstairs two smaller spaces are perfect for private gatherings. A pretty olive tree lined courtyard at the rear is also a lovely spot for a Prosecco on sunny days. Mister Bianco just has that certain feel that settles you immediately, with the open kitchen and friendly welcome. In addition to a la carte dining, the ‘Shared Table Menu’ is a great choice for the whole table to gather around and enjoy. There’s also a quirky and unpretentious wine list - where wines are listed in price brackets rather than style.
